About our Topic: The purpose of the presentation is to examine sustainability theoretical concepts using sound scientific methods to evaluate both historical data and future projections of a) resource use (both renewable and non-renewable), b) pollution and its resultant health effects and c) destruction of habitat and loss of biological diversity. This information is presented in light of current sustainability imperatives in the engineering profession. The objective is to give engineers facts by which they can make informed public policy decisions in light of sustainability and environmental principles.
About our Speaker: Glenn has been the Marketing Director for the Illinois Concrete Pipe Association for the last 12 years. Prior to that, he spent 15 years with engineering consulting firms working in Geotechnical and Materials Engineering. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Applied Math, Engineering and Physics. Glenn is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois.
